When an Old Person Dies a Library Burns

Our elders are priceless treasures. Some say they, just like babies, are closest to God. I recently returned from a visit to Jamaica and was able to meet with 96 year old Queen Mother Mariam Samad. That brief visit resulted in her exchanging a wealth of information. I left with a renewed resolve to help recognize and preserve the sacrifices and contributions of our elders.
